Písek, 16 June 2026 – Czech technology company Primoco UAV SE, a manufacturer of unmanned aircraft listed on the Prague Stock Exchange, today officially opened its new training centre at Písek–Krašovice Airport. The project represents another step in building a comprehensive unmanned aviation ecosystem and completes the unique integration of development, production, operation and training within a single company.
The new centre is designed to train operators and crews of unmanned systems from military, security, emergency response and civilian organisations. Training takes place in an environment meeting professional aviation standards and prepares participants for operating unmanned aircraft under real-world operational conditions.
The training centre has been established at Písek–Krašovice Airport, which Primoco UAV has been progressively revitalising for the past seven years. The facility includes classrooms, mission-planning areas, technical facilities and its own airport infrastructure.
“Unmanned aircraft are becoming a common part of the airspace, and their operation must meet the same requirements for professionalism, safety and standardisation as manned aviation. That is why we have created a training centre that enables comprehensive crew preparation for real-world operations in both controlled and uncontrolled airspace. Participants go through the entire process here, from operational briefing and mission planning through the flight itself to post-flight evaluation,” says Ladislav Semetkovský, founder and Chairman of the Board of Primoco UAV SE.
The centre builds on the company’s long-term strategy of establishing unmanned aviation as a fully-fledged part of modern aviation. Primoco UAV is one of the few manufacturers in the world with comprehensive capabilities covering the development, manufacturing, certification and operation of unmanned aircraft. The company holds a range of authorisations and certifications, including DOA, POA, LUC, ATO and other approvals in accordance with European and international aviation standards.
The opening of the training centre comes in the year when Primoco UAV celebrates the eleventh anniversary of its founding. During this period, the company has grown from a small development firm into an internationally operating unmanned aircraft manufacturer, with more than 250 aircraft produced and customers in a number of European and non-European countries.
A new Primoco UAV manufacturing facility is also being built in the immediate vicinity of the airport. It will significantly increase the company’s production capacity and support further development of technologies in the fields of unmanned systems, artificial intelligence and autonomous operations.

We want to be a company that provides customers with a complete capability – from technology development and manufacturing through training to operational services. With the opening of the training centre, the Czech Republic is joining the countries that are actively shaping the future of unmanned aviation,” adds Semetkovský.
